I have been trying to find information about A. W. (Abel William or Billy) Bahr for the Field Museum of Chicago. Mr. Bahr sold the museum a collection of Chinese jades in 1926. I found a biography of Mr. Bahr in the National Cyclopedia of American Biography vol XLVII page 163 and an obituary in the Ridgefield, Connecticut Press (do a google search on Ridgefield Press there are instructions on how to order copies of the obit - there are also obits for his wife Helen Marion Southey Bahr and his daughter Edna Bahr)

From correspondence in the Field Museum files, we know that Peter J. Bahr was to some degree a business partner of his brother, that he remained in Shanghai, and that he died in 1928 or 1929.

We would like more information about A. W. Bahr and Peter J. Bahr and about their families and parents.
