Arthur Hazlerigg, English Remittance man and gold prospector
Posted by: James Douglas (ID *****1967) Date: August 17, 2010 at 23:39:05

I am seeking information in regard to my birth father one Arthur Hazlerigg who was described to me as being an English remittance man and was in New Zealand from approx April 1930 to August 1932, lived in Christchurch and also worked for the Mt. David ( Gold) Mining/Sluicing Company at Blackwater on the West Coast.

He may have left New Zealand to go to China because it has been suggested to me that he may have had a Chinese child (my half brother or sister).

Any information would be appreciated in order to assist in completing my family research.

Regards,

James Douglas
Auckland NZ
