I am looking for information on Ah Yot, aka Sam Hamilton. Migrated from China to Australia on the ship "Eastern" around 1860. Married Martha Hamilton in Braidwood Australia in 1881 and changed his name to Sam Hamilton. I am unable to find any information on the ship "Eastern" and it's voyage to Australia and Ah Yot's death where he may be buried. Rumors have it that he may have gone back to China to die, but so far I am unable to find anything out.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
