Mikkelsen/Mikelsen family to South America late 1800's

Children of Mikel and Kari Hansen (married about 1825, perhaps in Frederksborg, Alderdamshjem, Kobenhavn, Danmark): Charles Mikkelsen, Mads Christian Mikkelsen, Herbert Mikkelsen and daughters Kathleen, Violet and Daisy. In 1873, after the death of Mikel and Kari, Mads and his wife Jensena sailed with their family to the USA. Herbert and his wife had custody of the three daughters and they left Denmark for Valparaiso, Chile (possibly aboard the ship captained by the eldest son Charles). My family descends from Mads - they stayed in New York for a year, then traveled via wagon and ox team to homestead in North Dakota. Charles Mikkelsen is known to have eventually perished at sea aboard his ship. We have no knowledge of Herbert Mikkelsen and Kathleen, Violet and Daisy after they settled in South America.
