Hi David, I'll probably confuse you still more with this but let's see. If the man was born in Chile his name must be Andres, as stated before. Andrea is feminine, and Andreas is Italian, so in South America you only see it in Argentina and Brazil, usually with an Italian surname, which would not be the case of Cardenas. Unfortunately Cardenas is a very, very common name in Chile. On the other hand, Andres, though widely used today, wasn´t apparently so popular in the 1800's. That gives a chance to the Andres Cardenas born in Malloco. In familysearch you will also find a Mexican marriage of an Andres Cardenas within the dates you mention. But his wife was not called Pancha. Once again your Pancha name can also be tricky. It's usually a nickname: Pancho for Francisco, Pancha for Francisca (I know that well because I'm a Francisco myself!). I think that your best try could be to access the Mexican marriage records at one of the Family Search libraries, looking for that Andres that married there. I assume the record will say where he was born, and if it's in Chile you've probably found him. I don't see many other options for you, as there are no Chilean emigrant databases. Best luck, Francisco Notify Administrator about this message?
