I am researching the FRASER family who were in Chile in 1899. I would be very grateful for any pointers on Chilean research.
An ELLEN MAY FRASER was born in 1899 in Chile [unknown place and parents]. Her father was with her in Sydney, Australia when she gave birth to VICTOR JOSEPH FRASER 25 November 1917. Victor was adopted out so the family would very much like to know their heritage.
There has been a 'story' that the father's name was JOSEPH.
I found a Joseph FRAZIER in the 1881 census in Hull, York, UK [a seaman] who was born in Valparaiso in 1825. He had a son Joseph b.c. 1871 in York. Interesting?
Any ideas on Chilean research to help me out?
