I am researching Rosa MOULET Jacobs who was born in Chile about 1850 to French parents. She married Washington Michael Jacobs of South Carolina. Their three eldest children were born in Peru starting around 1875-76.
By 1880 they were in Oakland, California.
I have been stymied in researching the South American roots of this family as I do not speak Spanish and I've not found many South American genealogical resources. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
