Carol, Mine is a different John Floyd Childs. He is from the line of John, Jr. and his first wife Elizabeth Rucker.They had a son William Rucker, who had a son named John Floyd Childs born Sept 30, 1844.
The John Floyd, b July 26,1825 you referred to, is my John Floyd' half uncle, more than likely for whom mine was named.
