Have you seen the book written by John Lafayette Childs II - G-Grandson of Edward Washington Childs?

I have a photo copy of it.

You mention Pike Co., Ga. You may want to look in Pike Co., AL. which is where the book says they came from before moving to Arkansas and eventually to Texas.

My family stayed in Alabama.
