Your assumptions about Hettie are correct. Hettie Olivia Childs married Riley Austin Dean and moved to Camp Wood, TX where they operated a dairy. Hettie passed away on 09 Sep 1953 and is buried in Uvalde, TX. They had four children. My father is one of the two surviving children and is 71 years old.
At this point all I've found about her father (Francis Harry Childs) is that he was born in Michigan in 1854 and his parents were born in Ohio (father) & New York (mother). I've also found his name listed as 'Frank' & 'Frances'.
If I find anything else I'll be sure to post it.
