I found a newspaper article that might be of interest to you. I found it in the Timpson News from 1987. It talks about the Childs family from Franklin County, Georgia. The person being interviewed is Ben T. Childs. He tells of the family coming from GA to Mississippi and then on to Texas. They arrived in Timpson on December 1, 1895. The families mentioned were Childs, Mitchell, Cheek and Wallis. If this sounds familiar let me know, and I will send you the article. Cindy Brinson sancab@ktsnet.com
