Your grandfather Charles M. was born just two years after our grandfather, Frank Whitney Childs, in Onondaga Co., N.Y. in 1857. Wondered if Charles may be a brother, or cousin of Frank. Frank came to Iowa about 1909 and married our grandmother, Ivah Carncross. She was 26 yrs. to his 60 something. They had three boys. He died at the age of 72 (about 1920). We are also wondering if the mother or other relatives had a link to Whitney clan because of the middle name.
I'll keep an eye out for Charles if you keep an eye out for Frank. Thanks.
