My 3rd great grandmother is also Harriet Childs, but I can't tell from your query whether it could be the same person. Give a little more information, like husband, place of residence, etc., OK?
My Harriet Childs was born 8 Dec 1802 in Marlow, NH, but the family moved to Vermont when she was a child. Her parents were Abel Childs and Polly Lewis. She married Simeon Nott in Barnard, VT, on 31 Jan 1821.
I did quite a bit of searching for Childs information in the area, so if you give a little more description of who your Harriet is, I may be able to help, even if my 3rd great grandmother is not the same as yours.
