Rusfus A. Child was a famous attornery from Pickens, SC. He handled the estate of Thomas G. Clemson. He was married several times. Have been research this line for years have lots of info. Looking for several of his children: THEY ARE: MINNIE CHILD BORN ABT 1877, LIZZIE CHILD born abt. 1882, and EVA CHILD born abt 1885. These children were of his FIRST wife, Essie CLEVELAND HOLCOMBE, also from Anderson/ Pickens, SC. RUFUS A. CHILD married a second time to a MAGGIE ROPER from Malboro Co. SCin 1894. They had 3 girls:

RUTH, HELEN AND BESSIE CHILD. pLEASE ASSIST WITH INFO ON HIS CHILREN. RUFUS A CHILD WAS A METHODIST PREACHER AND ALSO WORKED FOR WOFFORD COLLEGE AS FUND RAISER. THIS MAN DID EVERYTHING! I WILL GLADLY SHARE INFO. HIS DATES ARE:
1850 IN ABBEVILLE, SC TO HIS DEATH IN THE ASHEVILLE AREA IN 1915.
