Hi Colin,

I live in Boreham Wood and have been tracing my Childs family in the Elstree, Aldenham and Shenley area. So far I've gone back to a Thomas Childs who was born around the 1740s. I haven't been able to find out more about him, so maybe he, too, came from Berkshire. Thanks for the clue.
