Does anyone out there have a stray CHILDS daughter born around January of 1784 in Massachusetts whose family moved to Vermont?
My information indicates her name was Lovina, but other references to her include Lavina and Donia, and an unlikely possibility that it was Lois.
It is likely that she married Hezekiah Nichols in Vermont, in or near Orange County around 1810, but I find no record of the death of his first wife or of Lovina's marriage to Hezekiah. His family traces back to Weare, New Hampshire and Amesbury, Massachusetts.
Lovina CHILDS Nichols is buried in Geauga County, Ohio with Hezekiah and a few of his (or their) children. They were there by 1840, but I can find no census record of them in 1850 or her in 1860.
