Jim,

In the book I have about the Child(e,es), I
show a Nathaniel Child, transported to Virginia, May 28, 1635. He owned land and slaves in Barbadoes. Descendent Nathaniel
was born about 1745. At 23, he m. Tamer in
1768. He was a blacksmith, died 1793.
They had 6 children.

The first son, Thomas, born in Maryland, m.
Temperance Adkinson Inloes in 1800. They had
10 children. Their son, Thomas, is given,
but without dates. He is listed as living in
the South and that he was "killed in the
late war."

This book was published in 1881, so all information stops in the late 1870's.

I hope this helps, I have not had the time
to verify any of this information. Please let me know if you can validate anything, or
if you would like more information. The book
is about 900 pages.

Good luck.
Bonnie
