Karen, Good news I think! Someone did a look up for me on my Baker Families in Sugar Bottom Twp, Carroll Co. MO 1860 census. We found some of this Baker family and we found living with Lucretia Baker (widow of Barton W. Baker, son of Thomas Baker & Elizabeth Williams, and brother of (Mary? Elizabeth Baker Childs) one Beverly W. Childs 5 yrs old born LA. She did not find Peter Camden Childs however. So he may have died also before 1860 or he may have been in the St. Louis area with one of the Grandparents or family. We did not find Thomas and Elizabeth in Carroll Co. in 1860 but I know they died there. I believe they may have still been in the St. Louis area 1850/1860. Now I just need to find them. I don't know if those records are online or not. Given Beverly W. age, b. ca 1855 and the date you gave for Mary? Elizabeth Baker's death I wonder if she died in childbirth or complications from? I haven't tried to order Joshua's pension record yet but, there must be one for the children you would think. I'm convinced I have the correct family, how about you? Mary Knight
