I haven't a clue. I'm trying to find the parents of Nancy Childress and I got JM and JL Childress from a deed for land left to Nancy's children as witnesses. I was hoping someone could tell me if one was her father or brothers. How ever there is a John Childress d. 1842 and left Richard Childress as executor of his Will. I found that at the FHC
under 1820 thur 1930 Wills Laurens Co. S.C.
She had sons named John and James, but I think everyone in the U.S. did at that time.
