Trying to find out if Henry Beard/Henry Baird was married to a Hardiman. Does anyone have information regarding the families mentioned on the following deeds, if so I would love to hear from you. You can write to me at jethomas@texoma.net

From Albemarle Co. Wills and Deeds No. 1 1748-1752 p.262-263:

2/19/1750 HENRY BEARD sold 250 acres of his land in Albemarle Co. VA on Willises Creek to John Hardiman (or Hardeman). It's signed HENRY BAIRD and test. by Rene Chastain, Edward Gibson, John Childers (John Childress).

Albemarle Co. Deed book 2, p.206-207

12/13/1759 HENRY BEARD deeds to his son EDWARD BEARD 400 acres of his land in Albemarle Co. adjoining Colo. John Bolling and Alexander Stinson for his duty and obedience. Signed by HENRY BEARD in the presence of HARDIMAN BEARD and JOHN BEARD.

Buckingham Co. VA was formed from Albemarle Co. in 1761 and Albemarle Co. was formed from Goochland Co. in 1744. Goochland was formed from Henrico Co. in 1728 and Henrico Co. was formed in 1634. There is a land patent for a Henry Baird/Beard in each of these counties all on Willis River/Mountain (except for Henrico Co.).
