My John Childress was maried to Elizabeth Lindsay when he arrived in TN from VA via NC c 1794. He had a large farm in north Knox Co in the Bull Run valley. There are numerous John's in this line. ie Brother Mitchell had son named John and Mitchell's daughter had a John. Also I note several John's in the first few generations of my John's family.
