Can anyone give me background material and ancestry of R.G. Childress, born 10/1838 in Marshall County, Ala. Moved to Texas in 1844 and settled in Rusk Co. Member of Texas Rangers 1854-55, in Civil War in Co. B, 3rd Texas Calvary. Ultimately settled in Roscoe, Texas.
