Yes, the name is correct. I am from VA, my father was Lawrence Orman Childress, born in
Sandston, VA Oct 23, 1910. I am ashamed to say I don't know much about his family. I do know his mother was Cora Anne or Annie Cora.
I was born Dec 25, 1961 in Richmond, and lived in Amelia, VA until I enlisted in the Air Force.

Now I am interested in what you are doing and would like to know if there is a connection!
