The William Carter Childress Dan mentioned was the second son of Robert Lindsay Childress and wife Kesiah Carter. William b4 15 1815 d Oct 1893. He married Jane Meadows[Meaders} of Anderson Co TN and they are both buried is a well marked grave at the Mt Harmony Baptist Church in No Knox Co, TN.
Dan and I would welcome any information regarding this line of Childress.
