How was William who died 1834 related to Meredith CHILDRESS who married Cerena HARMON, daughter of Samuel HARMON in Jefferson County, AL 02 Feb 1828?

Were they brothers? Meredith was the son of
David and Annis of NC/VA/TN.

I have more information that I received from the CHILDRESS Newsletter editors.
