I just took a look at the DNA project list for CHILDRESS and variants. I was shocked to see BENEDICT "Childrey" on the list with only two others. He was called "Northern Europe". Now, what was so strange is that Benedict, sometimes called Richard, has a proven ancestry back to Philemon Childress. Most seasoned researchers have agreed that Philemon and the FIRST known Abraham were either brothers or father and son. SO, my question is. What the heck is going on here? LOL.

Anyone want to attempt to fill me in? I would gladly take the DNA myself, since I am a direct descendant of BENEDICT (Richard) and all of my research is from original documentation, but I am female and not male. ALSO, is Gary Childress still head of the DNA project? Thanks!
