Abraham & Hestor Cannon Childress 1696

My husband is descended from Abraham Childress who married Elizabeth Cannon, daughter of William, and who died in Albemarle Co VA. I have been going over the Henrico records and have come up with a hypothesis I would like to throw out.

Philemon Childers SR died 1717 Henrico. He had a son Abraham Childers Jr. who was alive at the time the will was written in 1716, as he is named in the will. Another Abraham Childers had died in 1698, apparently the one who married Anne Pew. Abraham, son of Philemon, married Hester Cannon, widow of John Cannon who died in 1696. In John Cannon's will, it names his wife Easter as the executrix of his estate. When she remarried to Abraham Jr., the two of them became administrators, as stated in Henrico probate records for 1697. Hestor (Easter) and John Cannon had a son William who had a daughter Elizabeth who apparently married Abraham Childress III, as proven by bequests made by William Cannon to his Childress grandchildren. I believe this makes more sense then to tack Abraham III onto the Abraham who died in 1698. I believe he was the brother of Philemon Sr. According to a deed of gift that Philemon made in 1706 Abraham Jr. had daughters Elizabeth and Tabitha. In 1720 Henrico a Hester and Tabitha Childers witness the will of John Pledge.
