There is a Samuel Childress b. 1817 Tn. Married Elizabeth Houser...they had ...I believe... 5 children...Columbus 1846, Rebecca 1848, Mary Ann 1850, Laskin? 1852, and George 1854. Maybe this could be your George. Census: Knox Co. Tenn pg. 256. I am helping a friend with her's and her connection is through Mary Ann. Hope this helps.
