Juanita,

Hello, cuz! My info shows that you're of the James R. Childers line, first son of Isom. I'm descended from Alexander Crockett Childers, one of James' younger brothers.

Well, welcome to the frustrating search for Isom's parents! I've been searching for quite a while now, without luck. I have gotten a lot of peripheral info, however, about his wife, Mary "Polly" Ritchie and her family, and of course know a good deal about Isom and Polly and their descendants. I'm happy to share any or all of that with you.

I gather from your notes to the forum, though, that you're stuck in Russell County in your quest for Isom(his segment of Russell Co. split off to become Scott County after the War of 1812). I've found Abraham as well, but I've never been able to establish any link between this guy and our Isom--or anyone else, for that matter. Looking around the Ritchies has been informative, but I've never even found out for sure when and where Isom and Polly were married.

It's nice to know I've got someone to share my frustrations with, though.

let me know if you'd like to know what I've got.

David Poole
