For Dan: Upon looking further into the questions you ask I think I can be of added help. Peter Carter and Elizabeth Meadows had 12 Children, 10 lived to be adults, and his 12th child was Peter Madison Childress June 11, 1848 to Dec 7 1927 He married M.[?Mary] Alice Little, b Sept 16, 1850 died April 5, 1850. According to my records they had 3-4 children. My ancestor Robert Lindsay Childress was the oldest child of Peter Carter Childress and they are all buried in well marked graaves in Well Springs. I have photos of all these graves. Thanks Jay Childress
