Looking for information on Effa "Effie" (Childress) & E. M. Cox, who lived in Tx., prob. in the Fort Worth area. My children are descendants of Effie's brother, William Marvin Childress [1852-1914] of Madison Co., Tx. Effie (Childress) Cox was estranged from the Childress family as a young woman because of some kind of family argument, so little is known about her or husband.

The last record I have of Effie (Childress) Cox, she was one of the surviving heirs of her great-aunt, Elizabeth (Childress) Batson [1835-1912] of Hill Co., Tx., when her estate was finally settled in 1918.
