I have the Childress section of an index of the 1900 Census of Campbell County. There is a Charley Childress Age 24, a Coal Miner, who along with his parents were all born in TN. The name give for a wife was Demarith with a ? after the name. She was age 19. They had been married 4 years. Children were Beatrice 12, and Edward 2. All born in TN. Perhaps you can find their marriage lisc. in Campbell Co. He was listed as a Coal Miner and the City of Jellico had lots of coal miners. The 1880 census has a Charles H. Childress age 6 the son of Peter M. Childress. That is all I have for you.
