While I have no specific information on your ancestors I had to comment on the size of
Andrew Jackson Childress. Most of the Childresses I am researching seem to be generally short with one major exception. Mitchell Childress Jr. was 6'3" or so and pre-dates your ancestors in TN. Others on this forum are more expert on this line than I.
