Yes, I do know his name and I should have included that. His name was Joseph Harrison Childress, and he is mentioned in the will of his maternal grandfather Sterling Tarpley of Wilson County, TN, dated March 18, 1842:

Item 9th. I will to my grandson Joseph Harrison Childress a little negro to be worth three hundred dollars at the death of my wife. Said negro to be placed in the hands of a guardian to be appointed by court.
