Searching for the parents and siblings of FRANCES CHILDERS.
Frances Childers b. 1833 in Perry Co., AL and married after 1850 in Cherokee Co., AL to THOMAS SIDNEY MCDUFFIE. They were in Etowah Co., AL in 1860 and 1870 census.
Some of the other Childers family in Cherokee Co., AL also came from Perry Co., AL. They moved to Dallas and Cleveland Co., AR.
Frances Childers McDuffie died before the 1880 census. She died in Cass Co., TX.
I spell the name Childers (instead of Childress) because that is the way it was spelled on the 1850 census of Cherokee Co., AL. That is the only document with her name on it. In 1850 she was not living with her family. She was living in the household of her future brother in law Norman McDuffie. I am not sure of the spelling of her name.
We have some family notes that list her as Frances Childers born Perry Co., AL.
