My ancestor in Knox Co John Childress along with his older brother Mitchell came to Knox Co about 1795 along with another brother William. They did reside in Amherst Co VA during the Rev. War moving to NC in the mid 1780s before coming to TN. I know nothing about this 3rd bro William and his children. Perhaps this is the same family but I do not know. Perhaps there is someone out there who can help. Thx Jay Childress
