Jay, I just spent several hours going through the Prodigy archives for Childress. I found a Sandra Thompson had several entries and part of one said "Albemarle and Amherst county Va. They came to Knox Co. Tn. around 1790 or so. My childress name is Henry and Susannah chiles b. around 1700 in amherst co Their son John had a son named (she forgot to put the name) who married Rachael Perkins. They had a son John who married Elizabeth Lindsey and he was in the Rev. War. He's buried in Mt. Harmony cemerary in Knox co. Tn. Their son Robert was in the War of 1812. Is this family one you recognize? this was posted by Sandra Thompson, Vancouver Wa. about a year ago. Do you know her? I think the Susannah she refers to may be Susannah Stinnett. Her e-mail does not work so I can't reach her. A Molly Reigard, editor of "Childress Chatter" is also mentioned as having a lot of information. I'm passing this on, hoping I can connect with someone who knows this family or Sandra and Molly. Thanks for listening. Verna
