I noticed the unusual name and wanted to tell you about my research. I am researching the Stinnett family. They began in this country in Md. and moved to Va. in 1746. Benjamin Stinnett Jr. is my ancestor and he was born in 1736 in Md. and married Ursula Isham in 1763 in Va. Please note her last name. They had five children that I know of and two daughters married Childress's. Priscilla Stinnett b. abt 1740 married John Childress and Susannah Stinnett b. 1750 married Henry Childress. The name Isham or Isom began to run through the Stinnett family at that point and I beleive it's likely that Ursula is the reason. What do you think? Is there a connection? Verna e-mail please
