I had to note to you that Lindsay is a very common name in my Childress line. My line is through the oldest Son of Robert Lindsay Childress, John's son, and his 2nd wife, Kesiah Carter. This son was named Peter Carter Childress and he named a son Robert Linday who named a son Alvis Lindsay. These were my grandfather and g-grandfather. There are so many Lindsays that I tend to see an L. as a middle name and assume it stands for Lindsay.

Joseph "Jay" Childress
