My husbands ggrandmother was Martha Ellen Childress (could be Childers)b. in Coles Co., Ill. 1851 married Samuel C. Broughton in Independence, KS. in 1872 at the home of J.H. Childress with a witness named Mary P. Childress. Also have a picture and letter from Edwin P. Childress married to Florence Grisham in 1879; Katie Childress married JJ Staats in 1883; Mary Childress married George W. Talbert in 1881. I know these people must be Martha Ellens family but do not know exactly how they are related.
Any help appreciated.
