I am searching for the family of Pleasant Leasel Childress and Sarah Frances Appling. They had one son William Francis Childress who was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on July 3, 1851 and settled in Crockett Co, TX in 1901. The early Childress clan settled in Virginia around 1650, but by the time of the revolution some had migrated to North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Texas. Any information about Pleasant Leasel's parents and family would be greatly appreciated. I will be glad to share the information I have.
