Thanks for your posting, and yes I think there is a connection. My understanding is that Joel, who I know little about, was married in Blount Co. TN. Maybe he relocated to Jackson Co Ala. Do you have this info. If this is the correct Joel, I can get you to his Rev. War father's birth in 1759. If so please contact me direct and we can share. Jay Childress
