Yes, I do think that is Grandpa Jim whose birthday is February 2, 1957. (His sister Elizabeth was born sometime in 1855). But I don't know if James Clark is his father. According to the Russell County Marriage Registrar #2, James Clark and Mary E. Childress were married on September 28, 1859. MEC's mother is listed as Mahala Spurgeon and no father listed.

It seems that sometime between 1854 or '55 when Elizabeth was conceived and 1859 when Mary married James Clark something happened with Grandpa Jim's father. Right? Unless James Clark was the biological father, but if that is true and MEC's mother was a Spurgeon, where did she get the Childress name? It is a mystery to me. Any suggestions?
