=================================================
Catherine Diana HOPKINS was born at Petersburg, Illinois February 26, 1865 and died April 2, 1920.
She was married to Robert Childers [on] December 31, 1884, [and] to this union were born nine children -- four of whom preceded her into the great beyond.
Mrs. Childers was converted at the age of eighteen years and not only professed but led a Christian life -- always assisting those that were in need.
The beautiful spirit breathed a prayer of benediction as she neared her reward in heaven. As she blessed her children, it seemed to those around her bedside as if God was sending a message of love to comfort each heart so saddened by her departure.
She leaves to mourn her death five children: Bert, Anna, [Francis] Pearl, Richard, and Florice Childers; and, four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Clara Wright, Peoria, Oklahoma; Mrs. Emma Seales, Tiff City, Missouri; Mrs. Helen Yarbrough; Clint Hopkins of Neosho, Mrs. Anna Londen [sic] of Webb City, Missouri. The last of the three mentioned arrived only in time for the funeral which took place Saturday afternoon at Cummings Chapel and was conducted by Rev. Ragen.
