Dianne,

I so seldom make a connection in the Chidley line that it is very exciting to get a reply! I live in the state of Illinois in the US. I can send you more data on the Chidley family. They went from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to Toledo, Ohio, then on to Illinois. Thomas, Alfred (my G Grandfather) & Alfred Thomas (my Grandfather) are all buried in the Wheeling Twp. Cemetery, Arlington Heights, Cook Co., IL. I grew up in Arlington Heights.Amelia's parents, Thomas & Ann (Stone) Chidley came from England aboard the "Tamar" arriving in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 16 Jun 1870, along with four of their children, Alfred (my G Grandfather), William, Sarah & Phoebe. Ann died in Hamilton in 1879 - I have her d record & Obit. I will have to see if I can find when Amelia came, as she was married in Hamilton.

Josiah & Amelia were married 3 Apr 1875 in Hamilton, Wentworth Co., Ontario, Canada - I have the Canadian record of their marriage.

OK, so the connection is through your husband. I know that Josiah & Amelia had 2 daughters & 2 sons, Edith Joseph, Lily & Charles. Joseph had 2 sons, Joseph & Robert. Charles had at least 6 children, I think most of them daughters. I don't have anything further than that. How is your husband related?

You can also contact me at the email address below.

'Til we talk again,
Darlene Chidley Vogt
