Were your Chidester lines related to those in Utah ? Must be. I have Joshua Parker Chidester born 1 Feb 1843 at Nauvoo, Ill, son of John Madison Chidester, born 22 Jan 1809 Pompey, Onondaga, NY. son of John Peck Chidester born about 1784 Danbury, CT, son of David Chidester born about 1758 Danbury, CT.
Anything familiar there ?
