Okay you got my attention. My second great grandfather was Thomas Worthington Holden 1848-1932. He was born in Champaing County, OH. His brother was Holdridge Chitester Holden 1845-1929.

I don't know if their parents, Thomas Holden and Nancy Lee, liked naming children after friends, popular political figures or if they named them after relatives.

Are there any connects of the Holdridge and Chidester families to the ancestors of General Robert E Lee?
