Hello everybody, How are you today? I am writing this letter in hopes that somebody out there can help me with my Chidester family. My name is Amanda Jane Chidester I live in Crossett Arkansas. I have been trying to figure out my family tree for about 5 years now. It is kinda hard to do since according to family oral history my great grandpa ran away from home because his father told him not to come back in the house until he had chopped down a tree and the ax was so dull that he couldn't get itchopped down before dark. His fathter told him if he came back in without it being chopped down he was going to take the whipping of his life. I don't know if this was his Father or a Step-Father. I think they were in New York and of a prominent family (ie Docotr or something according to those lines, my uncle isn't here with me and he knows more about this than anybody else I know..) I know that they were somewhere up north because he floated down the river (Mississippi I guess) and worked on his way down. So here goes with what little bit I know....

I have three children and I havea sister with two children.
I would like for them to be able to have some of the blanks filled in so they will not have to wonder.
