Hi I am researching my husband's family line and I am wondering if anyone can help.
I am looking for information on Travis (or Thomas) Chidester who was married to a Mary Gall.
Travis (or Thomas) was born April 1870 in Preston Co. WV. his parents were George and Cassa (or Cassie) Chidester
Travis married Mary Gall c. 1897 in WV.
Mary Anne Gall was born c 1875 in Preston County WV. Her father's name was John Gall.
Travis and Mary had 5 children.
They were
Martha Pearl born Jan 25, 1902
George C. born July 5, 1907
twins Joseph Earl and Jesse G. born October 29, 1910.
the 1910 census shows she had another child that had died.
now the following information was given to me by my husband's father (who is the son of George C)so I am not sure how accurate it is.
Mary Anne died about 1913 (possibly in WV). Travis was in Beaver County, PA sometime between then and 1920 because he placed the boys in a orphanage (sp?).
Travis moved to Indiana and remarried. He took Martha Pearl with him. He was said to have died about 1921.
From what was told George was raised by Theodore and Mary Brenner in Beaver County, PA and the twins were supposed to have grown up in the orphanage (sp?).
What I am looking for is Travis and Mary's exact death date and any information on their parents. I have information on their children and am willing to share what little I have.
