HELLO FAMILY!
Been researching Chidester/Barr since 1972 and have buckets full of data I would be delighted to share with all of you. Most Chidester data comes from an early Chidester researcher named Walt Turner (dec'd).My Barr data is quite large.Robert Patterson Barr (Judge Barr) was my gt,gt gdftr who married Mary Chidester.Their son, R.P. Jr. married in Iowa to Mary Melissa Bell. After R.P. Jr's death, Melissa & her three children removed to Wyoming. We still have cousins in Linn Co., Ia (Bell) and Clinton Co., Ia. (Barr). My Grandmother, Adna Mary Barr, married Philip Earl Harding and produced my mother, Thelma Carol.Let me hear from you.Let's see what you have that I don't & vice versa. This is a very interesting family.I have 1840 era letters from Wm. Chidester and Samuel Chidester in Iowa back to the Barr's in Brookville, Pa.Old letter heads, bills, etc from Pa. & Ia.Also, Samuel Carlyle Barr's Masonic Demit from Ireland when he and his family removed to the New World (1800).Contact me at:[email protected]
